the music was too loud, the food was cold. the drinks were few and the people many. it was everything i expected, and less.
I was trying to explain the concept of Doctor Who to my mother the other day, but the only description I could come up with was “if the Magic Tree House books took place in a phone booth.”
If anyone has a better American equivalent, I am all ears…
